Friends of Bennifer recently told the Daily Mail that Ben Affleck, 51, and Jennifer Lopez, 55, are getting a divorce after their most recent effort at reconciliation failed last month. The couple’s divorce documents have reportedly been drafted but have not yet been submitted, according to many sources. On July 24, the day Lopez turned 55, Affleck was said to have bought a new $20 million property in Pacific Palisades. This revelation comes after that. According to Lopez’s acquaintances, Affleck’s birthday bachelor apartment purchase came as a “blow to the heart.”
A source close to the couple stated, “They filed the divorce papers a month ago but are waiting for the right moment to submit them.”
They intend to jointly release a statement shortly in which they will declare their undying love for one another and their futile attempts to work things out. Sincerely, they were unable to come to an agreement. Another account said that “the feelings subsided and they both accepted it.”
The pair was last seen together on March 30 at a public function. Since then, they have separated for the summer, with Ben remaining at home in Los Angeles and Jennifer primarily on the East Coast.
