The bankrupt former model Katie Price, who recently had a warrant issued for her arrest, was finally taken into custody. Instead of attending a hearing about her financial situation, Price flew to Turkey for another plastic surgery. Upon her return, she was arrested at Heathrow Airport and taken away in a police van.
Price’s friends say she allegedly wanted to go to prison, believing it would benefit her career. Sources close to Price have stated that she now views her life as a “soap opera” and thinks that imprisonment could add more drama. One source mentioned that Katie even boasted about the potential profit from her time in prison. They added that Price, who has released eight autobiographies, feels it could provide material for another book.
It seems she views this more as a career move than a punishment. Sources suggest that she sees it as an opportunity for a book and a documentary series about life in women’s prisons.
As a reminder, 46-year-old Katie Price has been declared bankrupt twice and has five children. Knowing she would be arrested, Price sought to ensure she would behave with dignity in front of her son Harvey during the arrest.
Earlier in April, the twice-bankrupt Price planned to purchase a mansion worth $3 million.
