Smoldering herb smoke is used in a traditional cleaning ceremony by women. They then apply a combination of animal fat and ochre, an aromatic substance made from commiphora plants, to their skin. This keeps their skin looking young well into old age by cleansing it and shielding it from damaging environmental elements.
