Recently, model and artist Frances Bean Cobain paid a moving homage to her late father, Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, on Instagram. On the 30th anniversary of his death, the 31-year-old shared old footage.
A glimpse of Cobain’s last moments with his then-one-year-old daughter may be seen in the moving footage. Frances expressed a desire to have spent more time with her father, getting to know his voice and daily routine.
She thought of the things they had done together, like collecting tadpoles or having simple moments. In addition, Frances shared a heartfelt passage from a letter Kurt Cobain sent to her before her birth, in which he expressed his undying love and bond.
Frances thought, “Those words, ‘Wherever you go or wherever I go, I will always be with you,’ have held.” She continued by describing how her father’s music still has a significant influence on her life and preserves his memories.
