She is 15 and celebrates by taking a photo next to her father who works in a landfill: “I’m proud of him”.

A parent would do anything to make their child’s life happier and more serene; a mother and father want only the best for their beloved son, so they are willing to climb the toughest mountains or do anything to make their son smile or fulfill his dream. A parent’s hard work to ensure that nothing is missing at the dinner table or that the boy or girl can afford an adequate education should always be celebrated.

This is what Diana, a young Mexican, decided to do when she wanted to make an extraordinary surprise for her father Jorge, a landfill manager, on the occasion of her 15th birthday (a particularly festive age in the Central American country). It is a difficult job and considered rather modest, but one that Diana will never stop celebrating and respecting: it is only thanks to what her father does that she has been able to lead a “comfortable” life like her peers, it is thanks to her father that all of this was possible.

For this Diana decided to thank her father Jorge in her own way, giving him a very touching surprise: to celebrate her 15th birthday, the young Mexican wore the traditional and elegant “quinceanera” dress, dressed in lilac, holding a bouquet of flowers and styled like a real princess. When the father saw that her daughter had arrived at the dump in this dress, she burst into tears of emotion…

Diana said: “I’m not ashamed of the humble work he does, he worked so I didn’t miss anything, I’m proud of him, my family and who I am!”.

And to thank her father and the work she does every day so that she doesn’t miss anything, Diana has chosen to carry out a real photo shoot next to Jorge and in the landfill where she works: the young woman couldn’t be more proud of her father!

And the photos Diana took with her proud father speak a thousand words:

This girl’s gesture is truly moving and reminds us once again how the hard daily sacrifice of our parents should never be underestimated or derided: everything they did, even the humblest thing, they did for the welfare and the future of their children, let us never forget it!
